Tinder partnered with INVADES to strengthen its position among UK students through a social-first campaign combining creator-led content, experiential marketing, and TikTok-native storytelling.

The Challenge

Tinder wanted to strengthen its positioning among UK students and young adults by becoming more culturally relevant within student nightlife and social communities.

Rather than relying on traditional advertising, the objective was to integrate Tinder naturally into the environments, conversations, and social moments Gen Z audiences already engage with.

The campaign aimed to:

  • Reposition Tinder as the “cool” dating app for students
  • Increase brand relevance within youth culture
  • Drive large-scale organic reach across TikTok
  • Create authentic audience engagement through creator-led content
  • Build awareness around the Mansion House Party activation
  • Generate social conversation around dating, relationships, and student experiences

The Strategy

The campaign combined experiential marketing with social-first content designed specifically for TikTok audiences.

At the centre of the activation was a ticketed Mansion House Party inspired by the cultural aesthetic and exclusivity associated with Saltburn.

The event was marketed exclusively to students and became a focal point for both online and offline engagement.

To extend the campaign beyond a single event moment, Tinder sponsored the INVADES Matchmaking series across TikTok for three months before and after the activation.

This gave Tinder continuous visibility within one of INVADES’ strongest-performing content formats.
